Welcome to the Tyn-y-Groes Coaching Inn, a riverside location right in the heart of the Coed-y-Brenin Forest on the A470 in Snowdonia National Park. With rustic charm, the Tyn-y-Groes offers a warm welcome and serves excellent food and fine cask ales.

The Tyn-y-Groes has been called a hotel for over 500 years and was built to serve as a resting point and mail drop point for the Royal Mail.

It also served as a well-known hunting, shooting and fishing lodge for the gentry in the days of yore, with the fishing still allowed on the best tract for salmon and sea trout on the whole river.

It’s an ideal centre for mountain biking (200 metres away) and for walking the beautiful trails around the Mawddach river.
